Hayaan Advocacy Project
Our impact resonates not only locally but also abroad. Early last year, we expanded our reach with an outreach program in Somaliland, thus broadening our support network and impact.
From a well-attended launch event to regular in-person advocacy and mediation sessions, we’re deeply committed to fostering community engagement. Our weekly coffee mornings have emerged as a vital platform for BAME parents of children with SEN, providing an invaluable blend of casual camaraderie and formal support.
The positive feedback we receive from both families and professionals testifies to the tangible difference we’re making in the community. Bridging the gap for BAME families in mental health and SEN services, we’re challenging inequalities and disproportionate representation head-on.
Future plans include leveraging partnerships with other community resources and developing innovative solutions for suitable SEN children’s activities during school holidays. Meanwhile, our sensory boxes filled with educational toys offer immediate engagement and delight for many families.
Looking ahead to 2023, we’re buoyed by the promise of community funding and a steadfast commitment to achieving our goals. Hayaat Women Trust invites you to join us on this transformative journey towards a more inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment for all.
